The PC gaming community is an invaluable resource when it comes to preserving classics like Silent Hill 2 from the slow march of history. Players who want to experience this new version of Silent Hill 2 will have to get creative, as there's no legal way to obtain the PC version of the game as of now. Over the years, the new version of the game has added controller support, fixes for bugs caused by new video card drivers, and reimplementation of visual tricks only seen in the definitive PlayStation 2 version.

The xbox version isnt bad by any stretch, and easily costs ~$25 as opposed to the PS2 version costing $70+. Honestly, I think its just nostalgia that most people played it on ps2 so they dont want to give another version any limelight. Xbox doesnt have a second set of shoulder buttons, so by default iirc theres no means of side stepping. I would only recommend playing it on an original Xbox.
Xbox version doesnt run so good on the 360. When it comes to xbox vs ps2 theres really only 2 noteworthy things Some purists may claim the lighting is different or some audio/video is inferior, but I played through the entire game and had no issues whatsoever. As someone else said Xbox version has dlc by default, only greatest hits ps2 release has dlc.
